About me

Dariia Martsin

I am a psychologist, psychodynamic therapist and counsellor in private practice in Amsterdam. I hold a Master's degree in psychology, certified in the Netherlands, I am a member of the NIP (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen) and I have an AGB code. I see clients in person at my practice near Victorieplein and online.

I have more than 20 years of practice behind me. I have vast experience working in psychiatric institutions, crisis psychology, GGZ system in the Netherlands and international psychological support service Workplace Options, where I work with Ukrainian-, Russian- and English-speaking clients.

In my practice I rely upon psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. I regularly work under supervision, continue my professional development and for many years I undergo my own psychoanalysis and psychoanalytically oriented therapy, which is an essential part of my professional practice.

Important: I am not a BIG-registered practitioner and I do not provide medical services. My work is psychological counselling and psychodynamic therapy of a non-medical nature.

Education and training

  • Master's degree in psychology (Ukraine), certified in the Netherlands
  • Psychodynamic and psychoanalytical studies at the Ukrainian Association of Psychoanalytical Psychotherapists (UAPP)
  • Program on psychotherapy of children and adolescents (Institute of Deep Psychology, Ukraine)
  • 5-year study program in symboldrama method (Ukraine)
  • Theoretical and supervision seminar of the Melanie Klein Trust (2015–2025)(UK, Dnipro)
  • more than 1,500 hours of personal psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
